In our pricing for adults, we make a distinction between those groups coming for retreats or days of recollection, and adult groups booking our facilities for training events. This is to ensure that we fulfil the aim of keeping the house as a retreat house for young people and adults, in a place of tranquillity and prayer.

We do warmly welcome bookings for training events – and we think the environment here is a wonderful setting for strategic thinking, team development and personal development. The income from groups who use the house for training events also helps support our work with young people throughout the year.

After the refurbishment, we think that our facilities here are more than comparable to many commercial conference and training facilities, with large and small meeting rooms, wifi across the building, projection facilities, and tea and coffee on tap all day. All of this comes with the added advantage of 14 acres of grounds, and great natural beauty. The location is also ideal for conference delegates driving from across Essex and East London, and beyond. Whole house hire £250 per day

This price includes:

  • Tea, coffee and cakes throughout the day
  • Full use of all facilities, as detailed on the attached sheet, with the exception of the residential accommodation.

It is not possible for us to offer just part of the house to a group, though if two smaller groups wanted to use the house together, and made arrangements between them about how and when they would each use the different spaces, this would be absolutely fine, and we would accommodate each group.
