There are over fifty charities working in Essex and East London featured on the website
Virtually all of them are looking for volunteers, and many welcome young volunteers. In addition a number of them can offer presentations to youth groups, or as part of Confirmation sessions.
Simply showing young people the range of charities – combatting modern slavery; working with the homeless; supporting life from conception to natural death; visiting the elderly; supporting local food banks, and much more – could expand their idea of what “Church” includes, and what it means to live faith.
