Applications for Youth Gather are now open.
Please read all information below carefully. By applying for this event, you agree to everything stated on this page.
We are excited to be back at Essex Outdoors on Mersea Island for our annual Youth Gather, with cabin accommodation and a brilliant range of outdoor activities. We will combine opportunities for climbing high ropes, archery, zip wires and much more to keep you challenged and entertained, with guest speakers and workshops which will give you fresh insights into yourself, and your faith, by telling their stories.
The weekend includes lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday, two Mersea activities, 2 BCYS workshops, a night in a Mersea log cabin and travel to and from Mersea Island.
Collections from National Youth Sunday parish appeals have greatly helped us subsidise the cost of this weekend, and we are pleased to be able to offer places at the cost of £75 for young people (school years 9 – 13) and £30 for leaders (over 18 having left school)

The weekend is a mix of faith, fun and friendship – hearing from speakers and being encouraged to think about topics and issues prevalent around us today, trying some of the fantastic activities on offer at Essex Outdoors, socialising with friends old and new, and all while sharing in and celebrating our Catholic faith.

YOUNG LEADERS (Aged 18+, having finished school)
All those aged 18+, having finished school, are invited to serve as young leaders for the weekend.
We invite you to join us at a heavily subsidised rate, which will include all your meals and accommodation. The outdoor activities are primarily for the young people, however if there is space you may be able to join in!
There will also be a compulsory leader training session which will be provided either on zoom in the week leading up to Youth Gather (date TBC) or in person at Essex Outdoors on Friday 26th October.
