Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham

Saturday 24th May 2025

On Saturday 24th May, Bishop Alan will lead parishioners from around the Diocese of Brentwood on the pilgrimage to honour Our Lady of Walsingham.

Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica before walking the Holy Mile to the grounds of Walsingham Abbey to celebrate Vespers and Benediction on the site of the Holy House.

This year, we are delighted to be bringing a group of young people (over 18) from the BCYS, who will be assisting with various roles throughout the day.

There may be opportunities for readers, servers, musicians and singers, to ushering and marshalling where needed.

For those who wish, there would be the option to stay at Walsingham House the evening before ready to travel to Walsingham together on Saturday morning.

There would just be a small charge of £10, to cover an evening meal, breakfast and accommodation.

To join us, you can click the “Apply Now” button on this page, or for more information please email [email protected], and if you do wish to stay overnight at Walsingham House, please continue to make the full payment of £10.
For all others who wish to attend, as individuals or as a parish group, you can email [email protected].
