On Friday we will especially remember in prayer all those who risked and sacrificed their lives during the Second World War, as well as the joy of liberation. On the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, when Britain celebrated freedom from the fear and terror of nightly bombings, after nearly six years of devastating war, we will join the national two minutes silence at 11am, before the final blessing of the Mass.

 

The Mass will be streamed live on YouTube and Instagram – for both simply search BrentwoodCYS and you will find us – we go live at 10.25am, so that you have time to be sure you have found us, and can then settle to pray during the Mass.

 

From the rising of the sun to its setting we will remember them.

 

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon them.
