Good Friday is the most solemn day in the Church year. It is the day Christ died on the cross in an act pf pure, sacrificial love.
Join us online as we pray this service – if you can, download the PDF to a second screen in advance or print it out, as it will help you follow the service and especially the Gospel, to participate as part of the crowd. Good Friday Order of Service
We also encourage you to find a crucifix in your home, and to place it as the centre of a very simple “altar” for the service. The crucifix is at the heart of today’s service, and in normal times we would venerate one crucifix together, in front of the altar in the parish church; in these days we are united in Spiritual Communion, personally venerating a crucifix at home.
To access the service, which begins at 3pm (the time when the Bible tells us that Jesus was crucified) follow the simple guide in the graphic below. If you are using a desktop or laptop, please be sure to access Instagram through the App, rather than the website (as the website does not permit you to watch the Livestream). See you online!
