Open to all those in year 9 and above, our Autumn Youth Gather this year will take place on Saturday 23rd October in the beautiful grounds of our retreat centre Walsingham House at Abbotswick, just outside Brentwood.

 

What will the day include?

The day will include inspiring talks and thought provoking workshops from our incredible guests John Pridmore and Leila Bousbaa, alongside the chance to try out some exhilarating physical tasks on a variety of outdoor adventure equipment!

There will be drinks and a tuck shop providing refreshments to purchase throughout the day, but we do ask that you provide a packed lunch to eat during the day (in the spirit of Leila’s talk, it would be great if you could think about using reusable or recyclable products!)

Who will be speaking?

John has spoken to young people all over the world about his incredible conversion from a life of organised crime in London’s East End. His inspiring talks bring hope and teach us we are all capable of changing our futures.

On the Day

 

All those attending will need to make their own way to Walsingham House at Abbotswick on Saturday morning, to arrive between 10:15 and 10:45am.

You can be dropped off in the car park, or there are regular buses which run from Brentwood Station to Navestockside.

When you arrive, please make your way through the archways from the car park into the main courtyard where someone will be available to guide you.

 

The majority of the day will be outdoors, so please dress warmly and appropriately for any activities.

You will need to bring a packed lunch with you (where you are able, please do think about how this can be eco-conscious!) and there will be a small tuck shop available throughout the day to purchase drinks and snacks if you would like to bring some change.

 

The entire day will conclude with Mass at 4pm, and finish ready to be collected at 5pm from the main car park.

 

 

COVID-19

We ask that anyone attending this event has taken a lateral flow test before arriving, whether they are showing symptoms or not.

Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19.
