We are well underway with our pilgrimage and the small groups of young people are having powerful encounters and experiences.

Year 13 Service Group’s work with Fr Bob

Since 2009 the year 13’s who come to Lourdes with the BCYS have a different experience which is focused around service. One of the main roles for the year 13’s is accompanying what is affectionately known as ‘Fr Bob’s Group’, which is a group of various young people and adults with various special needs.

Fr Bob Hamill (Parish Priest of St Michael’s, East Ham) is a legend in the Diocese of Brentwood. A truly humble and holy man Fr Bob has devoted his life to service young and old people with special needs.
