Simon Moules is the Safeguarding Co-ordinator for Brentwood Diocese. He will come
to Parishes to give presentations to youth leaders. Each Parish has a named Safeguarding
Representative, who will arrange CRB checks, etc. If there is a concern that a child
is in immediate danger of harm, please call the police. If you have a more general
concern or question to raise with Simon, or are unsure about a situation, please
phone or email.

may help form a template for a Parish policy.
The BCYS, in conjunction with Simon (see above), have produced this guidance document
for youth leaders in relation to use of Social Networking sites (Facebook, Twitter,
Myspace, etc.). The document also highlights the risks associated with the sharing
of mobile phone numbers and other personal data.
